The film Dunki, starring Shah Rukh Khan, debuted with a box office collection of USD 2.7 million on its first day overseas.

Dunki, starring Shah Rukh Khan, grossed Rs. 56 crore globally, with approximately Rs. 34 crore coming from India’s domestic market.

Dunki, a Bollywood film, has opened at USD 2.65 million in its international box office journey, marking its fourth largest opening of the year. The film follows Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Jawan, with Animal taking third place. Both films, which are mid-week releases, have similar start times, with Pathaan and Jawan being the most successful.

The first day for Dunki generated Rs. 56 crore globally, with approximately Rs. 34 crore coming from the domestic market of India.

Dunki’s highest opening in Australia was AUD 425K, surpassing Jawan’s record of AUD 425K. Germany, a strong Shah Rukh Khan stronghold, opened with nearly EUR 100K from 70 shows, marking the third-largest start for a Bollywood film in the country.

North America achieved USD 800K, possibly due to limited capacity in key locations due to multiple new releases from Hollywood and India. The Middle East had a low first day estimated at USD 900K, but historically, this genre is under-indexed. Thursday is a working day in the UAE, and weekend advance looks better.

Dunki is expected to earn USD 12-13 million over its four-day weekend, with weekdays expected to surpass the $20 million mark in the first week, with the holiday period starting from Monday and continuing until January.
